Guys, just a little experience to share with you regarding the lesson I have learned recently. Look at the photos above and compare...
Do you guys notice that the photos on the left are washed out, the subjects' faces are seriously over exposed?
Why all the faces in the photos look like zombie? This was what my aunty asked me. I was actually shooting for her son's kindergarden graduation back in early December. That was really bothering me and initially I thought that was my own problem. I told her to hand me over the photo album to have a look. When it got onto my hands, I was stunted. What the heck is going on? Almost out of 100 pieces of the photos are over exposed, only a few are normal, same as what I see in my laptop.
I knew well that it was no longer my own problem, instead something was wrong with those photos and I have to do something. Eventually I sent two photos to wash at another photo studio and waited for the outcome. Yes, I have proved that I am correct, the two photos I washed were just nice at correct exposure. It might due to the printing technique, the printing machine as well as the quality of the photo paper.
I admit I am art sensitive and I couldn't accept this. I am really mad at the photo studio who charged 38cents for those low quality, over exposed photos! They even spoiled our reputation as photographers. I think they should be more responsible and professional to their clients.
Some advices for you guys:
- DO NOT SAVE your petrol and go printing photos at a small and unknown photo studio.
- Print your photos at a WELL KNOWN REPUTATION photo studio as they provides better quality and more advance printing machine.
- Paying an extra TWO cents is worth for a better capture moment
- Do HIRE me as your photographer at a reasonable price =D
